In this case the primary selected course on the Aspen is still showing you deviation from the Aspen selected course, and the IFD doesn’t know about that course which would result in an unacceptably confusing set of displays and thus, VOR course depiction is not supported.Ĭombination of Aspen PFD and Electro-mechanical CDI ![]() ![]() ![]() This device stops sending selected course data when in VLOC mode. Note: A future software release of the PFD may change this to enable all course setting on the PFD to be displayed on the IFD5XX/4XX but no program to do so has been established yet. The PFD transmits the last OBS course even when in VLOC mode which would be misleading so the IFD5XX/4XX setup must be configured such that the ARINC429 connection is set to Honeywell EFIS, thereby preventing the PFD course from being displayed on the IFD5XX/4XX. The EHSI must set the VLOC active bit (bit 13) within ARINC429 Label 100 and continue to send course data in VLOC mode, and the input port on the IFD5XX/4XX must be configured as Sandel EHSI. IFD5XX/4XX will only accept course from these devices if there is no external ARINC 429 HSI/EFIS configured.
